1989 – 1991: Post Graduate Certificate in Middle Eastern Studies – University of Exeter, UK.
1988 – 1989: One-year Diploma, University of Reading, UK, on: International Relations “The Role of UN in solving security problems”. The study included a field visit to the European Parliament and the NATO. Graduation Project: An Analytical Study of the Economic Role of the United Nations.

1991 – 1991: Political & Administrative Researcher & Analyst in the Middle East Consulting Group (MEAG). The job also involved significant translation on topics of the privatization policies in Egypt.
